This is a beautiful Mosque. It is called the Islamic Center of Oklahoma City on NW 48th just west of N. May. I did not realize it but there are a total of 5 Mosques in Oklahoma City.

Buffalo

Back in 2004 The Nature Conservancy of Oklahoma started a program to increase awareness and raise money to help protect Oklahoma's wild and threatened lands. Oklahoma artists painted the buffalo sculptures and they were placed in various locations around the city. This one is on Stonewall on the campus of OUHSC.

Overholser Mansion

This house was the home of the Overholser's, one of Oklahoma City's forefathers. It is located in district of Oklahoma City called Heritage Hills which has many beautiful homes. A few years ago I took a walking tour of the mansions of Heritage Hills and the Overholser Mansion is as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside. This is my baby at 4 years old. When he was still sweet.

He's now 16 1/2.

Here's another one of my babies. This wasn't halloween but isn't he a cute bunny? He's 19 1/2 now. (The bunny ears are really cabbage patch doll tights....such a creative boy)

Here's my baby boo boo at 1 1/2 years old. What a sweety he was (still is too). He's 26 1/2 now. I don't seem to have any pictures of him dressed up for Halloween. Weird. But he's still cute.

And finally, here's my oldest son. In drag. With all his loot. He's now 30+.I cherish the memories I have of my boys growing up.
Looking back, it seems as if the time just flew by.

These pictures were taken on Mother's Day this year. The kids came over and we had a good time. I always have a good time when I am with my children. They make me laugh. And oh how I love to laugh. Look at these goodies Beau and Jenae gave me.

Chocolate covered strawberries and bananas. Not just any strawberries mind you, but big, sweet, juicy, lucious strawberries. They were yummy!

This weekend I almost bought a pair of peace sign earrings at Dillards. My kids say peace signs are not "in" anymore, it has become an outdated symbol. I like the peace sign, I think it is a good symbol. It takes me back to my high school years of sitting in the park on my lunch break making daisy chains that I would wear the rest of the day. Those were good days. I like the peace sign. I'm going back to Dillards to buy those earrings and I will wear them proudly! Peace out.

Meet my new love.....the Starbucks Barista Aroma Solo. Isn't he beautiful? I have wanted this machine for a long time and had to save for quite a while to buy it. This weekend was the weekend! I bought it.....and I love it!!! There is something to be said about saving and waiting - it makes getting it all the sweeter versus instant gratification. Wouldn't you say??

I've been pretty blue lately so today I've decided to write about the things I have to be thankful for. I'm thinking that as the days go by I'll add to this list........I'll let you know when I'm out of my funk. = )

First of all, I'm thankful for God and His Son Jesus and through Him, my salvation.

I'm thankful for my Christian heritage and the parents who loved me, still love me, and continue to give me "pep talks."

I'm thankful for my little sister, Gabrielle. She is my very best friend. She knows me the best of anyone and continues to love me unconditionally. My BFFG!

I am thankful for each one of my four boys: Christopher, Beau, Evan & Anthony. They are the loves of my life. They bring me MUCH entertainment and laughter these days.

I am thankful for my friend Tracy, next to my sister she has been my closest friend. We have gone through many of life's trials together. We will be friends for life.
